Linda Barg

Founder - MA

At the age of 4, I was taken away by DCF. I then spent time in multiple foster homes and was officially adopted at the age of 9. I grew up in Ipswich, MA, and received my degree from the University of Massachusettes Lowell. I graduated with a bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing with a minor in Economics. I was the president of the Finance Society for three years and was also the president of the Manning Leaders Council. I am currently a big sister for the Big Brother Big Sister program and have started 2 Heads Up to make a bigger impact in my community.

Life wasn’t always privileged or blessed. I myself faced independence at the age of 16 from living in a group home, to kinship care, homelessness & eventually emancipation as a minor. I grew up quickly and saw a lot, even more during the six years as a Marine and I learned even more earning an MBA from Mt. Saint Mary College, but it’s the everyday interactions that teach us the most: compassion and being the change you want to see in the world.
